DR. BILL DEW

Assistant Professor of Environmental Science
Department of Biology, Algoma University

Bill is interested in how fish and other aquatic animals gather information from their environment through their sense of smell, how contaminants affect this sense, and what happens at the population and community level when impairment lasts for extended periods of time (i.e., generational effects of olfactory impairment). Bill did a post-doc at the University of Lethbridge and did his PhD at Lakehead University with Greg Pyle. Bill also received an MSc and BSc from Laurentian University. Bill joined Algoma University in 2018.
